F-24 Continental Conversion

Post by Dave Hadfield »

The Warner 185 in my Fairchild has a case-crack. We may be able to weld it, but I think I should at least explore the possibility of converting the aircraft to a W-670 220 hp Continental. This would make parts and service much easier.

I know it's been done a few times. I'd sure like to talk to someone who has done it. Please send me a PM here. My contact details are also on my Ad in Barnstormers (Warner Engines).

Thanks,

Dave

Anybody able to connect me with the owner of a conversion? I'd sure like to have a chat.

The STCs in the FAA database are 1960, probably not much use.

Dave,

I found this Continental powered Fairchild. N77681 on the internet.
Maybe gives you a shot at tracing the owner and get the info you're looking for.

Cheers,

Bart
