PT Parts

Post by pt19flyer@aol.com »

'We could use some help.

Our CAF unit in Burnet Texas, near Austin, is returning a PT-19/26 to flying
status after being grounded for 16 years and find ourselves a little short on
some parts. If you have any of them, please let us know.
Parts needed:

A pair of rings that attach to the wing and act as a fairing between the wing
and gas gages.

A pair of rings onto which the gas cap covers are attached.

A pair of cas cap covers.

One trim crank.

You may learn more about our project at our web site:

Thanks,
Richard Smith

'Hi Roger
We are restoring a UC-61K and have an extra PT-26
"Canadian" 6 into 1 Exhaust assembly that will not be
used on our restoration. the Canadian exhaust, I was
told, has the heater tube attachment. We also have an
NOS Oil Cooler Intake duct,"PT" engine mount
and a couple of PT instrument panels.
Let me know if you can use any of them.
Thanks!
Keep 'Em Flying

'RICHARD, THE PARTS YOU MENTIONED ARE EASILY FABRICATED
BY SEVERAL PEOPLE, INCLUDING PEOPLE WHO REBUILD RACE
CARS, AIR CONDITIONING COMPANIES, GUTTER GUYS, ETC. I
DID MINE USING RATHER SOFT ALUMINUM FOR THE GUAGES AND
STIFFER METAL FOR THE COVEERS. THE EDGES OF THE COVERS
WERE ROLLED BY A COMPANY WHICH BUILDS RACE CARS.
HOPE THIS HELPS.
