'Any good marine of polyurethane varnish will do. They cost a lot less than
the varnish from aircraft spruce.

'Recently did the inside door posts while the doors were off. I used
straight ole Marine Spar varnish, "Man O' War" was the brand name,
Semi-Gloss, got it at Orchard. Couple of coats was fine with light
sanding between. Also experimented a little with those small one
inch sponge type brushes. They give a fantastic flat hard finish,
and I'm very pleased with results.
