'Anyone know where I can get oil fittings? I need some AC-851-16 and
AC-852-16 fittings. These are 3/4 pipe to 1" ID hose 45deg and 90deg
fittings used in several places in the oil system of the Ranger.
Thanks,
David'

Re: Ranger oil fittings
'My 1948 Bellanca used those Air Corp fittings. However, in a couple of places someone used AN fittings as the Pipe ends are the same. You just have to use the proper AN to hose. Now I am aware you are trying to make it historically right; so keep looking for the Grey not the Blue fittings. I'd check with my Ranger engine parts source. Re: Ranger oil fittings
'You are looking for AN842 and AN844-16 fittings, 90 and 45 respectively. Letter suffix for material type, brass(none), aluminum(D orW), steel(S). Bunch of brass 90 degree ones on eBay right now for $10.
Found them at Skygeek, but really pricey. One type at Wicks. Bet Lance Aircraft has them.

'If you replace the AC with AN you must replace the line as well. Nut threads are different as well as the sealing angle. From: fairchildclub@yahoogroups.com [mailto:fairchildclub@yahoogroups.com]

Re: Ranger oil fittings
' These are for oil lines to the oil cooler and rear of engine. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I need the "AC" and brass.
