'Dear John: We are doing another Ranger and I was following the article in Technical Topics by Ed Wegner that indicated Perfect Circle Seals (12-2014) were to be used on the intakes. I don't recall any seals when I disassembled the engine. I tried to call Ed, but could not reach him. Maybe no seals are needed, who would know? Thanks for your help. Bill Spriggs

'Bill,

Seals were not stock.

I just purchased some for stock and Karl in Switzerland. All the part
numbers referenced in the letters are superceded. I will get the latest and
respond tonight.

They dry up the engine some, not required, but can't hurt.
