F24R46 Wheel Wanted

Post by Tom Mueller »

'Hey group,
Recently had both front wheels off. Took them to a machine shop to
have them turned down a little, just to clean 'em up, square 'em up.
One had a wobble. Not alot, but I'd like to check on replacing it.
Anybody have a servicable unit, or know of one.

'Tom,
I have an extra wheel. It has the triangle shaped holes (the set I
have on my Fairchild now has round holes) Stamped on it is Model no. 752A
and wheel assembly 73A. It looks good but needs to be cleaned up-and the
drums need to be turned and checked. Let me know if it is what you need.

'Thanks Buell,
I've since mounted the pair, and put the fenders back on. I'll see if
I can get the number off of them. I'll get back to you. Ok!
I took about .010 thousands off, it made a world of difference.
They used to get warm on the taxi out, which made 'em get even
hotter, tighter, on their own. It was getting to be a real problem.

'I have a set, but they are back in Alaska. I won't be heading back
up until mid May.
