Prop nuts

Post by Melvyn Hiscock »

'I need to find a nut to fit the end of the prop shaft on my Warner
145. This is the nut at the very end of the taper shaft that holds
the hub in place. Can anyone help with a part no, equivalent or the
actual nut?

Many thanks,

'Melvyn,
According to the Warner engine parts list book.

Part no. 7226, Nut - Prop Hub (Tapered Shaft only)

Two places you might try for a part are,
Harman Dickerson, 573-449-6428
John Duncan, 719-481-4115.

good luck

George'

'Melvyn,
I just remembered that a friends widow gave me a small box of 90hp Warner
parts.
I told her I would sell them for her if someone needed them. I looked and
there was a nut for a taper shaft. It is listed in my 1998 parts price list for
$25.30.
(I used to sell parts)
Anyway, It's yours if you want it.
