Cessna cowlings

Post by Buell Powell »

'I know this isn't Fairchild related but. Does anyone know where I
can find a set of engine cowlings for a 1946 Cessna 120 or 140?

'Buell,

Univair has them new, $$$$$.$$. Check with the 120/140 club. One of the
members has them by the gross. If you can not locate, I have a customer that
has his POC.

'Jamie,
Thanks for the information. The owner of the 120 that I am
restoring has tried to locate the cowlings through the 120-140 club without
any luck. We had checked with Univar and they are very expensive and the
could only supply part of them.
I have a couple of Fairchild questions that I would like to
check with you on also. Do you have the information on checking the static
ballance of the ailerons? and the anti-howell srtips for the flap bays?
Thanks very much
