'The Vintage Aircraft Group has a Ranger 200 HP engine that is ready to be
assembled. This was to be a spare engine for our PT-26 however we are
presently considering selling the engine. If anyone is interested, please
send me a e-mail with your requirements and lets discuss options.
We are also planning a display engine that will not be airworthy. Perhaps
someone knows of a museum that would be interested.

Ranger Engines
'Hi All.
As I read the comments about the engine listed on Ebay, I am looking at 6
Ranger Crankcases with parts stacked on pallets.
In this area over the last 25 years, no one would work on these except me. I
really don't remember how or why I have these.
I only have 3 cranks and they have corrision on splines. I don't know if
they could be made serviceable by cleaning and plating. None of the
cylinders are serviceable.
With these exceptions, there probably is enough good parts to build 3,
possibly 4 engines.
Should anyone have a need for any of this, please email your phone number
and what you are looking for, I will give you a call.
Thanks,
John'

Ranger Engines
'I have 2 ranger engines.
- One is 6-440C-5. The paper work I have with it indicates that it was overhauled and "prepared for storage"
- The other is a 6-440C-2 which according to the log books was upgraded to a 6-440C-5 by changing the cylinders. The present condition is unknown. The logs indicate that it was removed from the aircraft due to "low compression on the #3 Cylinder.
If anyone is interested in one or both of them, please contact me directly wthatfield@gmail.com.
Thanks
