Installing the JASCO 6555T alternator

From what I gather the Jasco 6555T anternator has been easily installed on many Ranger 6-440 C-5 engines on the F-24. I purchased a new one from Aircraft Spruce last summer and we attempted to install it a few weeks ago. For some reason it is not fitting properly and either the spline or the outside diameter will not allow it to fit snugly. Anyone else experience this issue? Jack
