Ranger Cylinder Replacement

Curious as to whether or not it possible to have a Ranger cylinder removed and replaced while the engine is still mounted in an F24 airframe? Or can it only be done with the engine removed and inverted? Thanks.

Not sure about the long F24 mount but I've done it many times with shorter mounts. Just be ready to spend a lot of time on a short stool looking up. You might even have an easier time because you'll have better access to the scavenge pump behind the cam box. Just lots of wrench turning and safety wire. Good luck.
