Ranger Engine isolator bushing installation and removal?

'Are any of our club members willing to share a good method to remove old, and install new rubber isolators on the Ranger engine mount brackets? I found first hand they can be easily damaged or destroyed.Thanks'

Try a heat gun first! Sorry is to late if you get them to hot! The heat gun is also the way to get the oil cooler fittings out with out trashing the cooler.

'What I did on the Warner motor mounts was effective, but not so radical.  I used an electric heat gun.  I don't think that I took the temp of 140-150 degrees.  Just about as hot as a door handle on a car in Las Vegas in July after it sat in direct sunlight for 2 hours.  I didn't need to repaint after I was done.  I made 2 sleeves to help extraction.  Both were the same length as the motor mounts, where the insert sits.  Both were about 1/4" wall thickness.  One was about .003" smaller than the outer shell of the motor mount, and the other was the same but larger.  The smaller sleeve pushed on the outer shell and the larger shell provided resistive point against the motor mount.  Put a long bolt, with a thick washer on through one sleeve, through the inner shell of the motor mount, then through the sleeve on the other side, and through another thick washer.  Add a nut to the whole thing and tighten.   Warm the motor mount with the heat gun.  All of my motor mounts loosened before the paint was damaged.  Heavy leather gloves are almost a must.Bob
