'I can only guess now without the OH Manual but the military stayed conservative with their OH Manual somewhere around 800 and the civvy OH manual is probly a 100 to 300 more.

'I have the overhaul manual, I have not found TBO verbage anywhere in it.I have found 50hr inspections, annual inspections, 300hr retorques and a military T.O. 02A-1-89 for valve clearance recheck at mid life of engine established by T.O. No. 00-25-4 and Table I (today that TO is a ground vehicle tech order)Nowhere have I found in print time between overhauls.

'I found it, it is in the "Know Your Ranger" hand book, page 18 says recommended that engines be overhauled at regular intervals. 400 hours is suggested as the normal running period between overhauls. However, the decision to overhaul an engine should be determined largely by its general condition
