Valve clearance.

Post by Microsoft.com Account team »

' I have the 2 Ranger manuals in front of me, The OVERHAUL MANUAL says intake for timing is .015 and for running .015 . The Exhaust is .015 for timing and .030 for running. This is at the top of page 102.
The RANGER INSTRUCTION BOOK that the Fairchild Club has, says the same thing on page 58. There was an error in this manual when John Berendt had them re-printed. I have since corrected that in the ones I still had and had it corrected in the ones I got re-printed.  Keep 'Em Flying!

'Mike,
Would you by chance have a scanned or PDF copy of the Ranger overhaul manual you can share with us?'

' Yes, I have both manuals and that's what they say.

So I'll go with that since you guys say it's correct. I had heard it was an error.

Thanks,
David
