F-24 electrical schematic, original.

Post by robert Etter »

'I printed out the electrical schematic in the Civilian F-24 Manual and couldn't believe my eyes.  The Master Switch is supposed to cut off all battery electrical power, and in this day and age, all electric power.  The connection for power to the generator regulator, and ammeter, as it was drawn, the power being supplied on the hot side of the solenoid.  Meaning the ammeter, and voltage regulator were hot 24/7.  The Master Switch wasn't in use at this point.  I was getting ready to wire in a pair of new solenoids from NAPA.  They are a close match to the OE items.I would copy a piece of the schematic and make an attachment, but I know that is a waste of time.If you haven't noticed, the physical size of the OE fuse holders are bigger than present day.  Circuit breakers will require some trimming and more spacing between them versus fuses.  I am having to remake the fuse panel insert.A lot of fun
