Just a little FYI regarding F24-46 era fuel tank.

'Recently, I was removing the old paint from my right fuel tank and found something that I really wasn't looking for.   It was, I assume to be, original fuel tank markings for type of fuel and quantity.In the first photo what I believe to be, in 2 different layers of paint, the original "N" markings, and a later repainting of the N" numbers.  Between the 2 coats of paint, I found a surprise.  On top of what looks like the original "N" paint, and in front of the gas cap was "GAS  -  30 GAL".   It looks like it was done with a rubber stamp, not a stencil.Bob
