Question about the Rudder/fuselage/stabilizer fairing.

Post by Bob Etter »

'I think that my fairing has been altered slightly, to make allowances for modifications due to crash.
My questions is "Is the fairing, where it mates up to the top of the fuselage, looking at it in the for & aft line, Is it straight and flat or does the last 1/2-3/4" curve slightly toward the fuselage? (to overcome any gaps)

If I straightened mine out, there would be a 1/4-3/8" gap between the fairing and the top of the fuselage. To overcome that gap, I would need to reshape the sides of the fairing, where it rest on the top of the stabilizer. I feel that an English wheel would be in order for that task.
