'I for one am glad that you do take on the task of passing on the bad news about some of our club members.

If you had not mentioned something about Tom Burmeister's passing, it probably would have been quite sometime before I would have heard.

I didn't know Tom very well, and it was with Gene Lehman. I have known them both for quite a long time. I met them both at a Fairchild Fly-In in July 1970. I believe Tom had only recently, at that time, had bought the Fairchild from Gene's dad. He was heavy into take-off's and landings, as many new owners usually are.
