M62A/PT-19

Post by lenwmiller »

'We have a M62A (S/N T43-5826) that has been setting in one of our T
hangars for who knows how many years. Our General Manager is trying
to get some idea of what it might be worth and if it's even
restorable. It hasn't flown in at least 15 years. A couple of years
ago, the owner drug it out and fired it up. That's about all its done
that I can remember.
I may be asked to do an inspection on it to see what kind of shape its
in and whether its worth restoring. Can you provide any info as to
what I should be particularly looking at? I've heard that the center
section is subject to rot and if that's gone, the aircraft isn't worth
much except for parting out.
Any advice or guidence would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
