'Does anyone have a source for the wiper seal and piston ram tube for
the F24 tail wheel strut? We have N81271 in for annual and found the
ram tube badly pitted. It's been "filing away on the ID of the seal
and as a result won't hold oil. Pumps it right back out.
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

'Len:
I replaced the leather oil wiper and its been pretty dry since. I
bought a bag of 5/32" leather washers at McMaster-Carr and punched a
hole in the center to fit the strut rod (mcmaster.com, part #
95576A031). If you want I can mail you a few. There is probably a
more modern solution, but this worked for me. If the ram tube is
pitted, though, I doubt the leather will hold up for long.
