UC61K ID TAG

Post by wullner9 »

'Karl, you are correct on the AAF #, the AAF accepted tag ,still on
the instrument panel, shows that #. But the tag is blank where it
should show a date. ??? The FAIRCHILD manufacture tag shows the
serial # 921 and engine model and serial #'s. I am still on my quest
to find an orginal WWII Bendix radio or the pieces to make a false
face plate, so far with zero results. The radio takes up a big
portion of the rightside of the panel and just wouldn't look
correct without it. Does anybody out there have one? Thanks
