Re: Round engine fuel burn
'Hi,
I cruise my 165 Warner at 1950 rpms with a 69-inch pitch wooden prop. It
gives me about 100 + or - mph. Fuel burn on a recent long cross country (25
hours flying time) averaged 10 gallons per hour. I'm not sure this is typical,
but these are the figures I use in planning trips.

'Thus far we find we burn about 11 gph with the 220 Continental. My OTW
partners with 165 Warner is about 10 gph but the OTW is lighter than the
F24.
Hope this helps..
