Fairchild GK-1

Post by iccinspect »

'First of all, I am not a Fairchild owner. I am a pilot but have been
grounded due to a heart attack. I am currently building a 1/3 scale
radio controled model of the radial engine Fairchild 24 and want to
pattern it after the U.S. Navy version, the GK-1. The problem is I
cannot locate a source of information on this plane. I have several
photos of one in a museum, the Tillamook Air Museum in Tillamook,
Oregon. What I need is information on registration number and any
other markings or graphics on the plane. The plane was procured by
the Navy, but never put into service. Can anyone help me find
information on the Fairchild 24? I can locate books and Profile
Publications on most planes, but cannot find any books on the
Fairchild. All I need is for someone to point me in the right
direction. Thank you.'
