'We're planning our approach for SNF already and we were wondering if the
Fairchild group does anything in the way of a gathering, dinner etc. during the week.
We found years ago that it was sometimes a pain to get together, especially for those
flying in and camping etc. and quite often small groups would plan to meet at some
local restaurant etc. only to wind up missing their friends due to last minute changes,
late arrivals etc.
Accordingly, we decided to have a BBQ (cookout) at our trailer which was on site
all week. Last year just over 80 people attended and enjoyed BBQ pork tenderloin
on a bun, all the fixin's and just about anything you could drink for a small donation.
We're building a new house next spring and will cut our travel plans back a bit and probably
have a much smaller BBQ..say around 30-40 people. We normally have the event on a
Friday night. Any interest? What do you normally do to get together? Thanks..

Re: Sun 'n' Fun 2005
'Getting together for some time is the whole idea, Dick. We normally start at
about 4 pm and go until the last one drops..We've been parking the trailer in
what's called the overflow campground which is just abaft the threshold of
runway 9 which allows lots of space and flexibility. Let's see if some others
are interested and if so, maybe we can put something together.
This would be our 5th annual event of holding the BBQ but will be scaled way
back size wise due to our time constraints for travel.
