ranger shop for sale

Post by robert hensarling »

'Guys, I have a friend (it's not me, really! I make rocking chairs only!) who's interested in a Ranger engine shop that's being advertised for sale lately. He asked me what I thought about the potential for business. I told him I didn't have a clue, but that there were quite a few Rangers in the air, and more airplanes being restored that have Rangers in them. I honestly don't know who all restores them, but I thought before he runs off and buys the shop, maybe I could get some input from the group. I don't know what the shop is selling for, or how much of a customer base there is generated from that shop, but I told him I'd see what the elders thought. Replies to my email are fine.

'My two cents. If it is still $125,000+ they were asking. It is not worth the time in my opinion. They did not have much for parts with it. It was almost all equipement. I do not think there is much of a customer base with it either. We do Rangers and there is not that much of a market.

This was from several phone conversations with them.

For what it is worth.
