'hello FA friends
Doing the overhaul of my fuel tanks I have seen that the meeters are a weakpoint in the system. Mine are worn and corroded.
Do anybody know were I can find new ones or some alternative. I like to keep the instruments as they are nice with the FA logo on the face.

Re: Fuel meeters
'Hello all
I also have the same problem with my fuel quantity system, worn rheostats
and corroded tank fittings. I have obtained modern Stewart Warner system
they appear to be the original manufacturer but no longer support the older
systems). however the tank sender unit is designed for top mounting ( for
cars).
This can be overcome by some nifty wire bending on the float arm but the
gauge and rheostat calibration do not match the tank volume/shape
combination. Other than recalibrating the gauge face I can not think of
another way out.
As with Paul I am on the lookout for new/reconditioned 12 volt sender units
that match the original SW gauges with the Fairchild Logo on them.
Any Info will be very much appreciated

You can purchase new ones, Century Inst can reface with the org color and

Aeronca's over the years and will be doing my Fairchild inst also. I sent
them the GIF last week, they can do.

Re: Fuel meeters
'Paul, Jamie and anyone else interested.
I have a Skysports capacitance fuel gauge system in my F-24. I am not
dazzled with the accuracy as yet as I have enough other problems to work
on, but it does work after a fashion.
