PT-26 Magneto and coupling

Post by cliffmccluney@webtv.net »

'Thanks for the help on the Propeller torque. It was loose as a goose
even though not yet binding on the locking clevis!

The next problem is the mags. One has cracks around the rotor terminals
causing week spark on one cylinder. Also the couplings seem sloppy.
Should they be fairly snug fitting?

Need for 200HP ranger:

Bendix SB6RN-10 rotor

Magneto intermediate coupling
Fairchild part no. 6474

If anyone knows of a source of these parts, I would appreciate the
information.

'Try Fresno Airparts, inside cover any issue of Trade-A-Plane,look for
the red ad. They even have the rotor and misc. parts for the SB6
series mags right there in the ad on the right hand column.
