Fairchild Project
This particular aircraft was manufactured in Texas in
1947, it wound up in Argentina,
I bought it and shipped it back in 1994.

Description of project.
Stripped fuselage down to bare metal, bead blasted
fuselage, repaired corrosion,
Epoxy primed fuselage.
Rebuilt all wood bulkheads and stringers, installed
most of fuselage wood.
Engine mount was stripped, repaired and powder
coated.
Engine cowling, most of it stripped and some metal
work performed.
Horizontal stabilizer, rebuilt and covered and silver
primed.
Vertical stabilizer, rebuilt, covered and primed.
Elevators and rudder, repaired and covered.
Original, and in poor condition upholstery, kept for
patterns.
Headliner missing.
Original electrical wiring missing, I have a harness
with both fuselage electrical boxes.
Instruments, mostly original, altimeter, non
precision, in meters.
Landing gear needs overhaul except for new break
pads and bladders,
tail wheel in serviceable condition.
New Control cables and most of fuselage pulleys.
Windshield, new un installed Plexiglas sides, no
center glass.
Engines: both 200 Hp.
One engine is: O time since overhaul, needs starter
and generator, comes with a new never used Guy
Watson Propeller.
I have a copy of the original exhaust, installed and
running at the time of purchase.
Original engine is striped down, could be overhauled
or used as a spare parts supply.
Wings
Both were in poor shape, one is in pieces to be used
as templates
The other is complete and in need of restoration or
re build.
I have two spruce spar blanks, and three old spars.
fuel tanks, ailerons and flaps need work.
Entire project with both engines and a 16 foot trailer,
