' On 31 July 2000 the FAA approved a service bulletin for Aeromatic propellers describing a visual inspection procedure for dry rot of the blades and corrosion of the blade screws. This is a mandatory inspection to be carried out every 100 hrs, and is in response to reports of in-flight failures of the props.
I've just place a copy of the service bulletin in the files section of the fairchild club group page located at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fairchildclub/files/ The file name is "Aeromatic SB2000-001.pdf ". The document is in Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf) and requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it.
