'There's been Cleveland 7.5 x 10 systems on ebay the last while for $950. Wheels, discs and
rebuilt calipers. I asked the list if the 7.5's might be too large but no reply. They are set up for
a straight axle, complete with bearings etc. Too wide? Good for experimental only ?

'Chief Aircraft in grants pass Oregon list the conversion kit for $1,830.00,
People who have trouble with the expander tube brake do not take care of
them or they have them set up too tight. I know of a F24 with Cleveland's
that went over when the brake locked up. all you need the brake for is to
hold the ship during run up .

Brakes on a 24w options?

Post by Chief Russell »

'John:

Do you have a contact, phone #, email, web site, etc...We checked a catalog
of parts and found that they were listed about $2,000. Perhaps the shop in
question wanted to make a few extra $$-?
