new to this topic. Yes, the Jasco Alt. is STC'd for the 440 series Ranger.
However, the STC does NOT apply to Ranger installations in Fairchild
Aircraft. As you correctly point out, installation of the Jasco on a Ranger
in a Fairchild requires that it be done on a 337. I found that it was a VERY
nice conversion when I did mine in the F24R46A. I'll start work on a PT-26
soon and will give it serious consideration when she's finished up and flying
again.
