As some of you have noticed, there's been a recent uptick in newly registered accounts posting spam posts all over the board. I've tried playing whack-a-mole to prevent the bots / idiots from registering new accounts, with little success. So as of today, a newly registered account's first post will be sent to moderation. I really don't like moderating board posts more than absolutely necessary and will make every effort to approve on-topic posts as soon as possible. Hopefully, this change will both not cause too much friction for those who have interest in Fairchild Aircraft, but also keep me from having to clean up spam posts multiple times per week. Please reach out if you have strong feelings about this change.

Re: Policy changes due to spam
Thanks Brian, A couple of other boards I'm on have had to do the whack-a-mole thing and ended up going to a blanket, unwritten/unvoiced policy of moderating the first 5 to 10 posts of new members. Those that played nice, were dropped off the moderation list at the minimum and those that were questionable went the full distance if they didn't get whacked first.
One other thing that might help, is most of the board software packages have the ability to insert a button within the lower right corner of a post to report it with only a reason and then hitting the submit button...
