Hello all,
I am returning to flying after a long hiatus. I plan to purchase a Fairchild 24 and find an experienced pilot to fly it from the northwest US back to Ohio with me. I prefer a CFI because my insurance company requires 10 hours of dual, and I need a tailwheel sign-off.
If anyone is interested or has recommendations, please let me know. The flight will take place in late August, or early September. I'll be at Oshkosh from 7/27 - 7/30 if you want to meet up to discuss details.
Jim

Did you find anyone Jim? I had a similar experience last year and might be able put you in touch with somebody in Oregon.

I have found two tail wheel schools in Ohio. I have a ferry pilot/CFI who will bring the plane from Oregon to Ohio with me, so I'll be able to get some instruction along the way. I'll probably do the tail wheel school too in a Super Decathlon. Flying from Oregon to Ohio the week of September 18th.

Enjoy it, I had a great time seeing America at 80 mph ground speed. Headwinds every single mile!
