Does anyone have any information about installing shoulder harnesses in the F-24? Jack Haggerty

Hi Jack,

Five or six years ago I installed two five point harnesses with rotary buckle releases and self reeling shoulder straps for the front seats of my 24H. We left the bottom crotch straps off. The installation was quite easy as the A & P was able to attach the single Y leads for the shoulder straps to the horizontal cross member directly behind the rear seat bulkhead. The height of the cross beam was a good safe lead for the straps. The only difficulty is making a proper looking inserts through the bulhead; an interior guy did a nice job making a new partition piece.

I found the certified new aerobatic harness on line at a fair price. With the new regulations, all that was required was a logbook entry by the IA.

Jack,

I bought them on EBay. Can't recall the vendor's name. The pics from Bob's airplane look like the corrrect lead. I'll get a pic of mine next month and post it. Had some interior work done, so my placement of the leads could be incorrect.
