Pre-war F24 Trim cable guide info needed

Post by Seifert »

I am new to the forum, but have been a club member for many years.
I am restoring a 1937 F24H model Fairchild and I need information on the trim cable guide attached near the vertical stab forward attach fitting. My best guess is part number 40193 "Lug, Cable Guide Tab".
This part was used on both the G model and the H models and guided the elevator trim cables into the aluminum conduit tube in the horizontal stabilizer. I am looking for photos, and an original part, as no drawing is available. I would like to borrow this part for a week in order to make a drawing so I can fabricate it, or better yet buy the original part. If you can be of any help, please contact me by email or at my cell 7143566950.
Thank You.
