Hello Fairchild Group.


I'm hoping someone can lead me to a person who is willing to sell a single, or pair of metal Fairchild PT-26 seats. I've done some pretty extensive searching so far but no luck!  My plane currently has molded phenolic seats. The front one has several cracks and needs to be replaced. I proposed several types of repairs, but the IA doing the annual would not accept the ideas. Any help in locating a set, or just one would be greatly appreciated. 'Look around for AN 7505 seats.  As you probably know, early PT seats were made by many manufacturers and a variety of materials including stainless, wood and aluminum.  Ultimately they settled on a spec for the aluminum seat.  They are pretty much universal across all the PTs, BTs, WW2 fighters, etc.  I have seen them pop up occasionally on Barnstormers and Ebay, but not very often.
