Re: Shoulder Harness Addition
'Tony, I put diagonals in my UC61K as being far better than no shoulder restraint at all. They were easy to do and the 'Gods' here in UK approved them. Also they do not detract from the originality too much.I am on a 'Permit to fly' which entails more oversight than your 'Experimental' but way less than CofA requirements. If you are interested in photos etc please get back to me.Frank CoxArgus III G-BCBL

Re: Shoulder Harness Addition
'Tony,
Simple installation for the FAA reg birds. Purchase TSO Harness (Aero Fab, Hooker, your choice of type and color) Use std anchor plates with additional slip adjuster. Fab two clamps for tube across aft beam. Cut headliner and fit. Log book entry only since no mod to airframe. Update Equip List and W&B. No FAA 337 required. Pic attached to your email. You can see the 4130 clamps through wood.

Re: Shoulder Harness Addition
'Thanks Jamie. Need some clarifications. What is “aft beam”. Attached pic not very instructive. I, personally, can’t see through wood, so cannot see the “4130 clamps”. I take it by 4130, you’re referring to the tube across “aft beam”, which is also not visible.
Anybody else out there got pics of the installation details, including the appearance of the final installation. Thanks.
