Re: wingtip position lights wire size 20 gauge?

'I need to replace the wingtip position light wire on my PT. The parts
manual says use 20 gauge. That seems small to me but what do I know.
What I'm replacing looks like about 14 or maybe 16ga. Before I do this,
thought I'd check with you guys and be sure 20 gauge sounds right and
that no changes have been made regarding wire gauges or something silly
like that since WWII.

'We just made all new wiring for a Cessna 195 and the manual called out 18 gauge for all the position lights.  The original nav lights are the same as on most PTs.
