'I am still trying to install an overhauled Warner on a 24. I thought I had enough drawings of the wiring but,I guess not as I am still having some issues. If I can start talking to a 24 guy with some experience I would sure appreciate it. I have flown this aircraft for 20 years and in it for 40 before that so I know it worked. The mechanic I have access to doesn’t have a clue.

I have only to heat shrink some tubing on the Alternator/regulator install, and dress up the wires and it is time for a test. I also upgraded the fuel system to new SW gauge/sending units. All new wiring, circuits breakers, and most all new switches. I kept the Start Switch.Bob

' I guess all that I sent made good sense. I spent many an hour looking at that fuse panel before I understood that it was a really crappy drawing. That comment that I made about the OE wire from the DC buss back to the Master solenoid/starter solenoid, at least on my Fairchild should have been upgraded back in the 40/50s, never was. The load that could have been put on line exceeded the maximum output of the generator. If it had not been for the 17Amp Generator limit, it would have burnt out the wiring.

I guess all that I sent made good sense. I spent many an hour looking at that fuse panel before I understood that it was a really crappy drawing. That comment that I made about the OE wire from the DC buss back to the Master solenoid/starter solenoid, at least on my Fairchild should have been upgraded back in the 40/50s, never was. The load that could have been put on line exceeded the maximum output of the generator. If it had not been for the 17Amp Generator limit, it would have burnt out the wiring.

I am still trying to install an overhauled Warner on a 24. I thought I had enough drawings of the wiring but,I guess not as I am still having some issues. If I can start talking to a 24 guy with some experience I would sure appreciate it. I have flown this aircraft for 20 years and in it for 40 before that so I know it worked. The mechanic I have access to doesn’t have a clue.
