Steve Dennis is thinking about getting new springs made for the 24 & PT tail wheel struts. The same springs are used in both planes. The cost would be $33.00 for one of the springs and $30.00 for the other one. He has to get a batch of 24 for each spring. I am trying to see if there is enough demand for him to go ahead  and get them made. He has to foot the bill to get them made and then recoup his cost. There would be some shipping cost  too. $63.00 for a set plus shipping isn't bad. The springs in our planes are over 70 years old. Please let me know if you would be interested in  a set so I can get with Steve.  If there isn't enough demand for them, he won't get them made.  If he has them made, it will take about 6-7 weeks to get them made. Thanks!

' Steve, do you need some money up front so you don't have to come up with the whole cost for these springs? How many participants have we got so far?

'Hi Fritz,

If you are operating a PT, you will need both Springs. If you are operating an F-24 that has not had it’s tailwheel strut upgraded to, (or replaced with) a PT strut, you will only need the one spring.

The two Springs for the PT will cost a total of $63.00 plus the postage.

The one spring for the F-24 will cost $33.00 plus the postage.

Please let me know if you have any questions on the info above and thank you for your interest,

Steve Dennis

'Hi Steve,

Thanks for asking. No need to send any money until after you have received your Springs.

We have about a dozen of each type of aircraft worth of Springs reserved and I have ordered some extras, so keep sending me your requests if you need springs.

The order has been placed and I anticipate 6-7 weeks for lead time on these.

Hope this helps,

Steve Dennis
