' Hi everybody,   I know this subject has been on the web a few times, but I would like some information about a Cleveland brake conversion for the PT-19.  I've seen some references to "Cessna 310" brakes on the PT, and I know the wheel size is the same.  If anybody has done the conversion or has any information, it would be appreciated, including:

• What Cleveland Kit will convert to disc brakes and are those kits available?
• What modifications have to be made? Any 337's available
• Will the stock Goodyear Master Cylinder work or do you have to change it?

'I installed the Cleveland Conversion Kit 199-64. It is for the 310 and 210 Cessnas and has 3 pucks. it comes with new wheels, disks, and brake assembly.
The axle needs to be moved outward 1/4". Rotate axle 90 deg too, before drilling for thru bolt. Uses the same tires/tubes and roller bearings.

I'm using the same master cylinders, but found that their (automotive) cups swelled in the red 3806 fluid usually used in aircraft hydraulic systems. Ended up using automotive DOT 5 fluid instead. There are some cups that work with the red fluid and that would be much better to use. The DOT 5 screws up any future paint work so avoiding that is smart.

I think the 337 is available from the Fairchild Club.'
