'I live in Arizona but even in the cooler months it still was running at about 90 degrees and it was running a 95 today outside temperature was about 75 degrees

'Having had the same situation in Texas, I had a long conversation with the Shell engineer at Oshkosh years ago.  While he tried to be a little evasive initially while he tried to figure out how much of an answer I really wanted, he did offer some quality advice.  I do not remember the exact details, but the short of it was, do not worry about the temperature getting high, even up to the 95-100c range.  In fact he suggested it was good, because the high temp was causing the water condensation in the oil system to boil off and getting the water out prevented rust if the engine sits for a while which is common for airplanes.  Therefore, after that I just stopped worrying about high oil temperatures even on 100+ degree-days.  Also, make sure you have the 6” oil cooler as they came in 2 sizes.  All of that being said, if the oil cooler has not been cleaned out for a long time, it is a relatively cheap preventive action you might consider. Having had the same situation in Texas, I had a long conversation with the Shell engineer at Oshkosh years ago.  While he tried to be a little evasive initially while he tried to figure out how much of an answer I really wanted, he did offer some quality advice.  I do not remember the exact details, but the short of it was, do not worry about the temperature getting high, even up to the 95-100c range.  In fact he suggested it was good, because the high temp was causing the water condensation in the oil system to boil off and getting the water out prevented rust if the engine sits for a while which is common for airplanes.  Therefore, after that I just stopped worrying about high oil temperatures even on 100+ degree-days.  Also, make sure you have the 6” oil cooler as they came in 2 sizes.  All of that being said, if the oil cooler has not been cleaned out for a long time, it is a relatively cheap preventive action you might consider.   Having had the same situation in Texas, I had a long conversation with the Shell engineer at Oshkosh years ago.  While he tried to be a little evasive initially while he tried to figure out how much of an answer I really wanted, he did offer some quality advice.  I do not remember the exact details, but the short of it was, do not worry about the temperature getting high, even up to the 95-100c range.  In fact he suggested it was good, because the high temp was causing the water condensation in the oil system to boil off and getting the water out prevented rust if the engine sits for a while which is common for airplanes.  Therefore, after that I just stopped worrying about high oil temperatures even on 100+ degree-days.  Also, make sure you have the 6” oil cooler as they came in 2 sizes.  All of that being said, if the oil cooler has not been cleaned out for a long time, it is a relatively cheap preventive action you might consider. 'Just thought I’d weight in. I have a Ranger powered 24H model, 200Hp. My cooler is bigger than original, I believe it came off of a Beech 18. The motor, runs too cool, had to block off part of the cooler.
