Re: PT-19 N46275 or N46279

'Does anyone have any information on a PT-19 that had either of these N numbers? I checked the FAA database, found the numbers but they are not PT-19’s. I’m thinking that it may have been destroyed or parted out. It was flying in the late 50’s based at Lake Susquhanna airport in Blairstown NJ. Thanks for your help.

'Hello,I have NC46275 in my database. 
All I can add at present is that the registration must have been cancelled prior to the U.S. Civil Aircraft Register of Jan 1968, which is the earliest edition I have access to.  Therefore I have no idea where it was based - you might need the FAA file for that.
The following came from an old FAA serial no. card:T42-3826 PT-19A 42-34160 NC46275.
Cannot find any sign that NC46279 was ever assigned to a Fairchild PT.
Incidently, NC46375 and NC46379 were both Fairchild PTs.

'Tony,Thanks for your efforts.  I will check with the FAA.  I am the president of the Aviation Cadet Museum, Inc. here in Eureka Springs, AR.  I am also a former USAF pilot and Delta Airlines Capt. Ret.  This aircraft was the first military aircraft I ever flew.  At 18 I though it was “heavy iron” compared to the J-3 I had been flying!  Glenn Ward and Claude Winch restored this aircraft.  I know Glenn had an accident with it and never flew again.  Back in 1958 I was dating Glenn’s daughter, almost married her.  Glad I didn’t, never would have been an AF pilot if that had happened, my wife and I have been married almost 56 years now.  His daughter sent me some photos of this aircraft, that’s where we  came up with the number.  The last digit is a little hard to tell, that’s why I put down a “9” but I think it is a “5”.  I though that it would be great to get this bird here as a display for the museum.  Please check out our web site highlighted below.Errol

Am I to take it the remains of N46275 still exist?  If so I need to update my database!
