Prop Hub spacing problem

'Dear List:

I put the prop on the Ranger of my '19 yesterday, and when torqued down
I'm about 1/8" or approximately a turn on the nut shy to be able to put
the 3/16" security pin in the hole thru the nut and the hub. Do I need
to turn down the spacer by that much? or is there something else I'm
overlooking?
