Stromberg carb disassembly

'I'm disassembling a Stromberg carb for the Ranger on a PT. I'm trying
to separate the two halves of the carb body. I've removed the 5 or 6
screws holding the two halves together, and the one going through the
side into the venturi. I'm having a tough time separating the two
halves. I've made about 1/8 of progress and it looks like the venturi is
what's holding things up. I don't want to use too much force here. I've
sprayed penetrating oil down the throat to help free up the venturi so
it can slide out but no joy yet. Anyone have any suggestions?
