Need help on F24W46 firewall forward.

Post by robert Etter »

'I'm not in panic mode yet, and am months away from hanging the motor.  Would someone take & sent me some photos of the area between the firewall & dish pan cowl.  Both right & left side.   (Left side, straight in)(Right side, at the top of the oil tank, straight in)  I know that I am missing the forward mount for the "spark retard" idler arm.  The rear mount is welded to the motor mount, and the forward end is bolted into place (Missing this one)  I'll need to get lucky and find one or I need to fabricate it. There is a bunch of mounts welded to the lower side of the top motor mount cross member.  What the heck is all this stuff for? One last question.  Which side of the ring that mounts to the rear of the motor go forward?  The motor mounts are inserted it.  One side, everything is flush, and the other side has the 10 mounts raised approximately 1/4" (guess). Bob (775)482-9243 or Cell (702)713-7814'

' Hi Bob, I would love to see some pictures as well. I too am missing the retard attach brackets. I do know though that the flat side of the ring gets bolted to the engine   Joe     From: fairchildclub@yahoogroups.com [mailto:fairchildclub@yahoogroups.com]
