PT 26 stick boot

I have removed the stick boots from my PT26, and intend to make replacements.
I am not sure if the ones that I removed are original.  There are no part No.s or other markings on them.  They do not have the snap at the top as depicted in the parts manual.  The material is a canvas similar to what you see in GI tents and jeep seats however it is a yellowish tan color.
There are other canvas items on the aircraft that are of a similar color.
Does anyone have any information as to the original material and color used for the stick boots and other parts.
