'Hi All
Here is a ruff list sent to me by the daughter of the owner. It is a ruff guess.
I am going through the pictures and trying to pick out the Fairchild items.
If you want to see a certain picture or need a certain part, please let me know.
thanks!

Hi All
I recently came across an estate sale of PT-19 and Fairchild 24 items.
I uploaded a bunch of pictures to the Group-Web site in the PHOTO log of UC-61

If you are interested in anything or can help identify some unknown parts, please let me know.

I also have a list and some photo's of a cache of PT parts in the Midwest. The owner is up in age and asked me to assist with the disposal of all his stuff.
I will publish that list as soon as I can match the pictures with descriptions.
thanks!

John M.,

I called Century and was hoping for a production spring.

I've already got eight springs of the larger size.  When I get the exact specifications of the smaller spring, I will have them custom made as well.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,   Sorry for the lack of clarity. That tip came from me, not Jim. Page 211 of my Century catalog shows a spring 1.75 in. dia. and 7.5 in. long. It is an old catalog (2004) so I checked their website and found the same spring. I realize that particular spring may not fit the purpose but I meant that you should contact them to make what you need. I should have been clearer. They would ask for an example to copy or all the details of the spring, such as diameter, length, wire size, spring rate etc. There are multiple parameters of spring design that are spelled out in the first few pages of their catalog.   John El Paso   In a message dated 11/12/2013 9:01:36 A.M. Jim, Thanks for the tip. Century does not have anything close to that size.   Steve

Take a look at Century Spring Corp. http://www.centuryspring.com/ They have everything in springs.   John   In a message dated 11/10/2013 8:59:41 A.M. Mountain Standard Time, ac500shrike81@... writes:

Jim,   Did you happen to note the dimensions of the coil springs.  I need a pair measuring 1.75" outside diameter by 7.5" in length for my '37 F-24.  I have eight new springs for the later models mentioned in Tom Downey's post.  They measure 2.25" in outside diameter.   Steve Bertrand

'Hi Jack
Here is a list of the parts in Midwest. I have a feeling the guy wants to retire off the stuff. All the items I needed so far for my project have been quoted way above normal asking prices.  But, who know maybe a lot offer will help.
I am also including a list from a very reliable PT-19 builder that is finishing up a project and moving from Upper East Coast to FL. and wants to start selling off his spares.
Where are you located?
I am just outside Chicago.

Hi Jim,

I recently bought a PT-19 and might be interested
in the parts that the guy in the Midwest has, as lot.

Can you get me a rough list of what he has and what
you might think he would sell it for?
