Prepping the 1937 "short nose" C8F here in Fairbanks for return to service....and we have a mystery on the airbox to Carb connection- it has the stromberg carburetor. As you can see the air tube from the bottom of the Carburetor does not line up with the Airbox....
Is this the wrong airbox, or the wrong air tube, or both?
Does anyone have pictures of the correct installation?
Most importantly, does anyone have the correct parts, or the part numbers?
Thanks

Re: short nose F-24
'The front "green" airbox should be much more inline with front cowling (parallel or almost)
A rubber hose should then link the box to the carb inlet duct.

Thanks for the input....still scratching my head, though...
The airbox appears to be the same as a PT-19, and thus extends too far aft for the short nose- overlaps the carb elbow...
The Carb elbow is identical to the PT-19 -
.....Does anyone have a picture of their airbox and carb for the 1937 short nose?
Does anyone have an airbox and/or carb elbow for sale?
