Fairchild 24 for Flight Simulator; in progress

Post by Lionheart »

'Hey all,

I am a Fairchild 24 nut, and presently making one for Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D.

I was wondering if anyone here might have FSX or P3D and might be interested in answering some of my questions on the plane as well as testing it to make sure it behaves correctly in flight as well as looks proper.

I do have two questions.

1. There is a large stick on the floor that looks like an old emergency brake for a car. Is that the Flaps handle?

2. There is a very small L-shaped handle on the floor between the rudder pedals that has a round pull knob on it, similar to the stock factory Fairchild panel pull knobs. What is that? It looks like it pulls forward, hinging from under the floor panel.

Many thanks for any input.'

'The first is the flap handle.  Has only two positions other than full forward for retracted.
The small knob on the floor is used to open and close a small door directly below it on the the bottom of the fuselage to allows for greater airflow in the cabin.  The door hinges on the forward side and therefore trails when open.
